Data for The Aircraft Encyclopedia was obtained through public and private sources. Information is retrieved from the database via direct word or phrase searching, and by browsing the test. The user interface is constructed in a split screen format. Most of the aircraft in the database have been joined with more than one image. Hundreds of black-and-white and VGA full-color images are available by the simple use of a hot-key.
